     Well, Chevron gas is not that readily available where I live and is usually more expensive than Sunoco which is what I usually use.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to buy Chevron gas for your Chevrolet?  (I 
sorta like "Chev" - note:  Le Chevrier ...)
