OK, this is my final two cents worth. My wife and I received a 99 Honda for our 50 th wedding aniversary gift in 2002. That car was driven almost daily, ( and still is) and it put not one drop of oil on the garage floor in two and a half years. I have never had an American car that would do that, vair or otherwise.
