The tire purchasing for our collector cars becomes more difficult as
time passes. My Corvair had Diamondback tires for the first 8 years and
when sold it had Hankook H714, the same tire that Clark's is offering.
These were very good tires in my opinion for ride, braking and handling,
and were whitewalls. My Impala will soon have Hankook Mileage Plus II
H725 tires, highly rated by Consumer Reports, and they come in a
whitewall too. My '57 Chevy has the Goodyear WWW Radial offered by
Kelsey tire. We may all soon be at the mercy of Coker, Kelsey and
Diamondback. Check the sites listed below

the 175/80/13.

They show Firestone, Hankook and Maxxis in 185/80/13, Firestone, Maxxis
and Toyo in 175/80/13.

Goodyear offers Republic and Kelly tires in these sizes.

Mastercraft and Dean are Cooper tires that can still be found in these
sizes.

I'm looking at a 1969 IH Scout (newer than any Corvair) for a plow vehicle
It uses 6:00-16 tires, and needs at least 2 snow treaded ones
A local dealer chain (Sullivan) said they can not get any tires that size anymore.
On line I can get those Non-directional tread military tires from a few sources. Not sure how good they are in the snow.

That vehicle used about 6 different ignitions.
I told the young man at Advanced (one of my favorite chains, actually) I needed points for an International Harvester Scout, and I had a BOrg Warner part number.
Carl said they don't carry parts for those big trucks.
I explained it was small, like a Jeep, with a 304 V8.
Carl asked was it spark-plugs I wanted ?
I said, nope, ignition points or a contact set
When he saw all the points choices he promptly asked for the BW number, which I gave him.
Carl asked if need 8 of those things.
I said there was just one set of points inside the distributor.

I believe Carl is now the old car expert at that store
