<VV> CORSA CONVENTION / Flagstaff/Etc

The weather at flagstaff was perfect, we flew into Phoenix at midnight and
it was 102° and by the time we got to Flagstaff you could see your breath.
There were no bugs so you could enjoy being out at night, I even saw people
wearing coats in the evening there. My family loved Flagstaff and would go
back in a second, a great location for the Convention. I hate hot/humid too
but if it gets bad in FL during the day, I'll retreat to the A/C and find a
cool beverage for a while. We go to the beach every summer for a week, sure
the temps are warm but the ocean breeze is always moving so you don't get
the feeling of total meltdown, I suspect JAX will work out just fine.

The problem is not Florida, it's July.
What a silly time to hold a convention. Even Flagstaff was hot.

why would I want to go so far SOUTH to much hotter and more humid Florida?

> My concern is the weather in Florida in July. I have visited Florida may
times but my visits have always been during winter and even then the weather
was quite hot. I understand that during summer Florida experiences daily
temperatures of 85+ fahrenheit and afternoon thunder storms occur almost
every day, making conditions very humid, sticky and uncomfortable. Of even
greater concern is that some days these thunderstorms go on for hours with a
lot

do wonder if perhaps I should wait for 2010 to attend my next CORSA
Convention. Some how the idea of sitting in or driving a Corvair with
original vinyl upholstery and no air conditioning in the likely Florida heat
and humidity does not seem appealing. What's everyone's opinion on the
above? Regards Carl L. Kelsen1965 Corvair Monza RHD convertibleMelbourne,
