I have pictures up on my Webshot’s albums of The Buffalo-Springville NY leg
of the “Longest Race”

The Springville stop was supposed to be an hour, but it ended up being 3 ½
hours.

Stopped at Springville Elementary school where we were greeted to cheers and
hundreds of schoolchildren waving American flags. This is how the original
racers were greeted in various cities back in 1908.

There was also a stop in the town park, for refreshments and to visit the
George Shuster memorial marker, and a visit to George Shuster’s final
resting place.

NFCC member Al Stocker joined in for this leg of the journey with his 64
Convertible.

I didn’t have my Vair, but took along my 67 Coronet.
