<VV> heater troubles

still sounds like the points are not grounding...try cleaning them.   next is 
the condenser across them...works just like your ignition  distributor.
if you are sure it is getting @3 lbs of pressure at the inlet , be careful  
the first time it does get spark.  i am assuming a lot here , such as spark  
gap tested , little tiny screen is clean under the fuel inlet fitting (a bugger  
to get back in place) spark tested at the plug lead with a test plug , etc. 
it  is well covered in the service manual. i did find that nos repair kits do 
not  make it.   get a fresh one from clarks so the small rubber seal is  
pliable , not hard as a rock from age. my gas heater fun began after getting a  load 
of bad gas  while on a trip...THEN  i discovered the tiny filter  screen. 
this is kinda how you learn?
