Disk brakes dry faster when wet, don't fade as much as drums and it's a HECK of a lot easier to change a disk pad than a drum shoe when they're worn. 

Having said all that, I have drums on my 65 Monza.  

On the other hand, my brakes do pull randomly to the left so maybe disks aren't a bad idea...
