<VV> Antique Auto Insurance

I decided to insure my 65 Corsa with regular, regular car coverage through
State Farm. Full coverage costs about $400 a year. They have this thing
about only driving a certain amount of miles, only to shows, yada yada. Of
course my odometer doesn't work but I digress.

With regular insurance I can leave the car sit out if I need to, I can drive
anywhere I want and at any time. Recently, I was parked a little too close
to a falling tree, and an adjuster came to the house, did his little thing,
and I got a new top out of the deal no questions asked. In fact, the guy
asked why I didn't have antique car coverage, and I told him for the very
reason he was here that day. They would have given me trouble if they knew
the car was parked outside. Also State Farm will have a stroke if they find
out you drive your antique-insured car to work, which I do.

So, just my 2 cents. Regular coverage is relatively cheap and the claim I
had was a non-issue. But as the Shell Answer Man says, your mileage may
vary.
