We just stripped the tin off an engine. The mag fan looked like a PO painted it black as the black was peeling off. However the bottom was black and pristine. I've noticed that the black/grey fans were much better quality castings (smooth with no inclusions-or viods) than the silver ones. A different supplier?? GM saving $$? MIKE KOVACS
