Just buy used harnesses from one of the west coast vendors! These are  
usually in  great shape...
 
Very seldom have we heard of a fire caused by electrical mishaps..
 
 A SAFE modification is to add a 50 amp  CB / Fuse / Fueable link  to the Mai
n 12 gauge at the battery...
