I also read (someplace): If you have a turbo, use it. Make it kick in every
once in a while. Hummmm. I guess mine will never carbon up, I use my turbo
on almost every stop light and freeway on-ramp. (Smile) It's sooo fun!

Gentlemen with 140's..be sure to put your foot in it every now and then. I
just completed rebuilding a pair of 1966 secondary carbs where I had to
remove the machining rivets and DRILL out the caked in fuel residue (even
after a cleaning dip) under the main jets and in the pump housings. And,
these carbs were on a running freshly rebuilt engine on which the rebuilder
apparently had no concern about the fuel system. The owner brought the car
by because it had less power than he felt it should. The first clue was that
the secondary carb throttle levers didn't move at WOT. The second clue was
that once the throttle shafts were cleaned up and the carbs opened, there
was NO power at WOT. Even with fuel prices like they are, secondary carbs
are another one of those things that if you don't use 'em, you lose 'em.
