<VV> Stolen engines

I had two parts motor and a automatic transaxle stored outside in an out of
the way location next to my house and just noticed they were missing.
Evidently some scrap metal scrounging thief took them in the dead of night
sometime in the past few weeks. Reported same to local PD, not too hopeful
of seeing them again even though the PD said they have a pretty good idea
who took them and there was evidently a rash of metal thefts in the area.
What really upset me was the fact that someone would find these and take
them within 75ft of my house and brings up security and legal response
issues if I should catch the anyone red handed in the dark. Just in case,
one was a complete 110 engine with sheetmetal and carbs, no crank pulley.
The other was minus sheet metal and accessories but had valve covers and fan
on the basic engine. The automatic had the front pump cover removed.
