<VV> Corsa Dues Increase

I normally don't get involved in this politics stuff, but feel I should state an observation.
There has been a lot of talk about declining numbers of Corvair folks.  I joined the Bay State Corvair Club in 2005 when I bought my first Corvair since high school.  At that time they were very proud that the club was up to something like 60 members.  The club ended 2008 with over 100 members.  The club members are all very friendly and helpful, and run and participate in many events each year.  May-be there is more to it than just numbers.

I think decreasing membership has nothing to do with dues increases and
everything to do with the increasing age of our enthusiasts and a lack
of public enthusiasm for collecting Corvairs. Compare our marque with,
say, the 1957 Chevys.

There will always be Corvair collectors, but never in the numbers that
we would like to see. Dues should be whatever they HAVE to be.
