<VV> lights (Corvair or otherwise)

Off of headlights for a moment.

Alan made reference to "ambient light" and I believe that was aimed (pun
intended) at outside lighting. For "cockpit" lighting at night, I prefer to
have the dash lights turned to a low level - especially on the road. Around
town, I might turn them up to the 50% level.

I see SO MANY drivers with the dash on full bright (including my wife). To
me, I want to see (mainly) outside at night. The bright dash lights become
a distraction that I don't want. I still can't convince her of that and
always have to turn the dash lights down whenever I get into her car at
night.

Do others feel like I do? That bright dash lights actually interfere with
the ability to see outside at night....

Later, JR
