For those of you who really will miss having Corvair Underground around, there is one interesting option. Once years ago a friend and I were discussing the demise of a radio station we both liked (played 24/7 Big band Music). Everyone who listened bemoned it's demise. My friend said that if 10 or 20 of these bemoners got together they could buy it. As at the time it was about $500,000. It was bought by a group just for the frequency. So as the citizens of Green Bay, Wisconsin did in the 30's with the GB Packers, one could sell stock, or get a group together to buy it to insure it exists. In Many there is strength. As in Green bay no one has Packer stock to make money, it is to insure the team will not be bought and move away. So just a thought in case some in the Corvair world are not as cheap as we are sometimes percieved. Lon is a man of many talents but alone he cannot save it. So perhaps a non profit Underground.
