<VV> EM muffler hanger location

As most of you know by now, I have a 64 Monza coupe and I am restoring it (95% done now). It has an after-market  Midas round muffler on it with a universal muffler hanger. I had to replace the crossover pipe a few days ago (that's an other story) and now the muffler and tailpipe will not fit under the fender properly (the tailpipe is the problem, it hits the back body panel. That is due to the new crossover being stock length. The Midas people must have cut a bit off the end of the crossover pipe to get the muffler to fit.  I will be getting a stock OVAL muffler and T/P in the future (low on cash at the time) and I hope to use the original style muffler hanger. I can't tell what it looks like from the Clark's catalog picture. Where does the hanger screw on to on the body?
