Warren: Congratulations!!

Don't forget to file your results with the CORSA Competition Committee
Chairman for the Racing Fund pay out. Oh, wait!! That's you.

I think you may be the first sitting Comp Comm Chair to be eligible for a
pay out. Couldn't go to a better person.

Historically Yours,
                   James

Last Saturday I went to the Indy Region SCCA banquet and got a pleasant
surprise.

I won the regional champonship in the E Mod class.

The reasons for this surprise were that I attended their events in two
different classes, not really caring about any trohpies or even staying
for the presentations.

I was away so much traveling to Corvair events in California and
Florida that I didn't even bother keeping track of points. I also spead
my local competition between at least 4 clubs--not a good way to win
anything--just having fun and "happy to be there".

I switched between the CP Stinger and the EM Roadster, apparently only
running officially in CP one time, mostly I just ran the Stinger in EM
because of poor participation of other CP cars.

In this area, we run on a great variety of courses, from small first
gear, slippery parking lots to expansive concrete 3rd gear air force
bases.

In our regions, all of the EM cars except mine are 1200# Lotus
Replicas with engines of any/all kinds.

Therefore I always jokingly registered which ever car I was driving
as: "Not a Lotus".

Great fun to receive an unexpected reward.

This season, I hope to (fingers crossed) to run the Stinger much
more---just because!

Warren
