<VV> The Aging Membership, ala VV ...

Bill brings up a great point. Communications FROM the BOD has been sporadic.
I'll be the first to admit that I don't read the Communique cover to cover,
and that is where most of the communication from CORSA comes from. As the
newsletter editor for the Tidewater Corvair Club, I have done two things to
help better this communication 1) I have included all of the Eastern
Division Directors on my newsletter distribution (electronic), so they can
see what is going on with our club; and 2) I have invited each of them to
use our club newsletter to let us know what is going on with CORSA. To date,
Scott Morehead is the only Director who has included me on a number of
communications and votes that are BoD issues, and I have forwarded those
communications to my club members.

My point being that communications is paramount to the continued existence
of any organization, and communication must flows both ways. We, as members,
cannot wait until we get an email (or read about it in the Communique) that
dues are about to increases. If you have an idea, forward it to your
director and request follow-up. I know I suggested the electronic newsletter
a couple of years ago, and I had to continue to follow up with the directors
to get a response. When I did get a response, it opened my eyes to a lot of
issues with providing the Communique electronically. I hope that the BoD is
still working to resolve some of those issues, and yes, one of them is cost
for the software.

Also, lets never forget, with the exception of Harry and Mike, everyone on
the BoD is a volunteer. They have lives outside of CORSA, some even have to
work 40 ~ 70 hours a week.
