I have used medical forceps, grab the edge of the little fastner and wiggle/bend until it breaks.  Hardware stores/vendors have new ones that are as good as the originals

You have removed the (interior) door panel from the door?  If not, do so and 
then you will have an easy(er) time of it.  You are replacing the door 
panels and need to switch things (the chrome parts) over?

Don't worry about the old panels.  Pry (gently) the old (existing) emblems 
off carefully from the front (interior of the car) side.  If you break 
something (doubtful) I'm sure that you can find a replacement of equal or 
better quality.  Some folks GLUE the old emblems to the new interior panel. 
You did not hear that from me.
