The Corvair leaf spring only pivots in the center -- it is not rigidly 
fixed to the differential, like say a 64 Corvette --  won't make any 
difference what the differential does, as long as the spring is 
centered, it will provide equal force  at each end of the spring -- the 
amount of change in the centering with the front motor mounts still 
attached, even though one may be broken, would be negligible.
