Roy,
Please don't say anything to Curt about this Mrs Carlson would like it to be a surprise if we can make it work out.

Yes the car is very drivable not sure if it would be is ready for a long trip especially in one shot. It has not gone far from Gulf Breeze since I revived it for Ted a few years ago.
I could possibly get it to Atlanta. Would you be interested in seeing if others would be willing to help out on this endeavor. I know it is not much notice but it would be great if it could be in NJ for Christmas surprise.
Mrs Carlson said she could help out with gas money.

Hey if we can make this work it might make a good story for the Communique

Mike,

So the car can be driven from Florida to NJ?

It might be possible to arrange a shuttle system to get the car up to NJ. Jim Dodd lives in Atlanta, GA & Charlie Doerge lives in Maiden, NC. One or two more people and it could be here.

The red, white & blue stripes were on the car when he got it from his Aunt. We concluded at the time they were installed by the dealer because they were on the car when she bought it. Ted decided to leave them off the car, but we did take measurements of the stripes so they could be put back at a later date.

Roy

I am also working on trying to find a way to get Teds 1966 A/C Coupe from Florida to NJ to Teds sons home. Hopefully @ Christmas time.

Anyone from Bayshore Corvair club out there. there is old literature from your club (ralleys and show stuff) you may be interested in. maybe if you have a club historian.(Better than trashing if your interested)
