Tim, that was luck! I had a similar experience with my currrent 62 4 speed.
My wife and I took a 250 mile drive to visit my step mom and go to a
favorite small town for lunch. The car's Pertronix II AND Flame Thrower coil
quit as I pulled into the driveway after the all day trip. I did have the
points plate and old coil with tools, just in case, but it is a wonder how
these things happen the way they do. :):)
Any upgrades going into the motor?
