 Bob - I know of several that Dempsey had made over the years, where the '65 long shaft was welded on to a later QSB. Dwayne Cuddy's yellow '65 Fitch has one of these boxes, that I installed when I worked at HAE. That's why I'm always hesitant to say "never" and "always".
