Festoon = decorate, adorn, cover.

I think we're being overly sensitive here. Is festoon a colorful word?
Certainly, but offensive, or an insult? Not hardly.

My 65 Corsa vert is festooned with 69 Chevelle SS rally rims. Some may
call that excess bling, but such fun words hurt not a thing.
