That sounds good, Bob, but how do I tell which PG is which in my pile?

Also, is there a difference in LM/EM torque converters?

Hi Frank,
So glad that you asked. It's a piece of cake as they say.

First with a good assurance of being correct is to look for the
identification code. If it is on the side of the tranny (or missing entirely) then
it's likely and EM. But if it's on the bottom of the oil pan then it's a LM
(1964+)

But for the sure fire way is to pull the pan and look for a notch in the
end of the transfer plate near the TV valve. The notch is a near positive
way to tell a LM. No notch is an EM. You can see the notch easily, if it's
there, without removing anything but the pan.

Don't know about the converter but I think that it was the same.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Bob Helt
