<VV> Loose steering shaft on 1967 Monza steering box ?

Hmmm... The shaft may not be a direct connect to the box ?
So, the shaft can turn but the box doesn't ?

Is that on both telescopic shafts, as well as regular shafts ? I hadn't 
thought that could slip.
