<VV> A/C questions accessories in general

a lot of "factory A/C " units back in the 60's arrived at the dealers in a  
box to be installed AT THE DEALERS. so , hole saws , chassis punches , etc 
were  used to run those hoses and wires. other methods i have heard ( but i 
am not an  expert on the truth) are a place up the road from the plants that 
installed such  accessories before car was shipped to dealer. i heard this 
from the son of the  owner of our local Chevy dealer back then. he was the 
service mgr in later 60's  and 70's there also. i know gas heaters , radios , 
cruise controls ,bumper  guards , carpets , and a host of other things were 
shipped to the parts  depts. i bought leftover radios etc for next to 
nothing back then after the  model year was over.     this is where a lot of the 
NOS  stuff came from you see at flea mkts now.
PS: i am looking for a usable set of early coupe vent shades ? email price  
and condition please.
