I don't agree.  Clark's manufacturer's the carpets, don't they?  Then 
all they have to do is stop manufacturing when they get to the "install 
heel pad and dimmer holes" step, pack up the carpet and pad and ship...  
doesn't sound all that unreasonable.  I wouldn't consider not installing 
the heel pad and not cutting holes a "non-standard, custom" part...  
(and if they don't make the carpets, it would seem a simple phone call 
could get ONE carpet delivered in the requested - semi complete - 
configuration)..

To take Carl's side, this isn't a "difficult modification" because all 
he wants them to do is NOT complete a couple of steps in the process... 
hardly a big deal..

Carl: I would check with other sources before I would order a carpet and 
"try to fix the damage" after it arrives...
