<VV> Frustration with Clark's Corvair

Hi, I'm very certain that Clark's does not put in the holes, at least they had not put holes in the carpet I installed in my EM four door. So, the correct holes will most likely not be an issue. Perhaps one solution might be to buy another heel pad and bond it onto the right side.

Clark's does a really good job keeping parts available for our cars. And I for one appreciate that Clark's, UG, and all of our other vendors can keep us supplied. We can easily get any stock replacement part and the quality is always much better than the local FLAPS.

Also, let's give each other a hand and try to find solutions to problems. It makes no sense to disrespect the concerns of fellow members and Corvair enthusiasts. We all have questions and no one has all of the answers, but together, I am sure that we can find the answers.

Respectfully,

I'm taking a guess here and figure Clark's may be buying the carpet
lsewhere already cut. They probably have shelves full of them ready to go
nd do not actually make them to order.
ou probably would be better off buying carpet and cutting your own.

Hi everyone,
Like many of you I purchase a lot of parts from Clarks Corvair parts and in
he past year or two have spend thousands of dollars with them.
For the most part I have to say that my experience in dealing with Clarks
as been a positive one. However a recent molding carpet order has shown me
hat Clarks are totally inflexible when it comes to handling even simple
equests that are even a little out of the normal.
Clark's as I see it, simply sell stock items and even a simple request is
otally beyond their capacity to deal with.
My most recent order was for a molded carpet set order to suit a 1965-69
orvair. I asked that these carpets be supplied as follows:
1. With vinyl heel pad not attached (NOT SEWN TO THE CARPET) but supplied
evertheless.
. That no holes are cut for the accelerator pedal and head lamp dimmer
witches.

explained that these carpets would be installed in a right hand drive car
nd that I would fit the heel pad and cut the holes on the right hand side
f car

ell Clark's could not deal with this simple request and I told me that the
eel pad must be installed on the left hand side and the holes have to be
ut on the left hand side. In short it was just to difficult the leave the
olded carpet set uncut. Why this is so difficult is very hard for me to
nderstand?

nyway I am ordering the carpets in left hand drive form and will have to
ry to undo the damage to them when i receive them.

m I expecting to much from Clarks? I would hate to see how Clark's would
eal with a difficult modification!
