<VV> Selling Corvairs and other stuff on Craig's list, eBay, Jaxed, etc

I "watch" things that are interesting to see how they turn out, and keep
track of whether there's a "reserve" price or not, to see how it effected
the outcome ?

Many times, if there's a "reserve" price, the item "stretches" the bidding
to reach it, and sometimes it doesn't sell at all, but it's interesting to
see how it works.

Ever since the fat lady eBay CEO who made over ONE BILLION DOLLARS decided
to "simplify" the selling fees, because 8.75% of the 1st $25, and 3.5% of
the rest (up to to $1000) was too complex, and made it a flat 9%, TRIPLING
fees for items selling for up to $1900 (but only for the first 100 items
listed each month), I haven't used eBay much.

Now, eBay has decided to let you in for "free" and triple the cost of
"leaving the store" :

She started with "5 free listings" last Fall, and I got nailed for about $75
in excess fees, compared to what it would have cost if I paid $2 for the
listing !

See the charts for what "free listings" really cost !

Charlie
