<VV> 1965 Monza 4-door on eBay

There have been such things turn up from time to time. But the most practical(?) has been the photoshopped versions of 'vair "dream" body styles, such as a "Nomad" 'vair or a LM 'brier. I've seen almost everything I can think of "in the flesh" over the years, but can still be pleasantly surprised at times.

One thing I think would be immensely amusing, and be an easy car to build, would be to take a LM 500 4door, remove the 4 doors, cut off the "B" pillars, mount a pair of 2door doors and fill the gap with sections from a coupe. THEN for good measure, weld in two quarter-to-roof pillars. You'd then have the ONLY true LM sedan - and it would be a REAL 2door sedan. Harry and Mike would be beside themselves in trying to label it in the CC! LOL Sedan, coupe, etc. They'd be at a loss for words, and I'd be rolling on the floor laughing at them!

It all goes back to why I get irked at their insistance at perpetuating the abuse of the word "sedan", something I find inexcusable from the editors of a car enthusiast club magazine. At the time the Corvair was built, GM always reserved the hardtop body style (when both hardtop and sedans were available in a given car line) for the premium trim lines. The full-size Chevy had only sedans in the bottom rung Biscayne, but only hardtops in the Caprice line. So to call a LM 4door a "sedan" is not only a misnomer, but is downright degrading as well. (Mind you, this in no way is applicable to the EM's.)

I have wanting to ask here on this group for some time, but being such a shy
retiring wimp, I have been lurking, not smurking ... kinda an Oil On The
Water guy ... oh, that's been taken I guess ... very WELL

So how come there has not been a ... veritable surge ... of photoshopping
amatuer corvair body designers re-creating God's Own Car ... the last time
has been 2....4.... years a go, with the vair going over Niagra Falls, such
a delightul Jolly Scene it was, too .... anyway, I have always thought the
vair to be quite beautiful, but the roofline maybe a bit bulbous... gotta
admit, tho, that all those windows have proven handy during those Nader
Moments (g)....

c'mon you young artistes, I see your artwork on truck stop restroom doors
all the time, but I know you can create something CLEAN if pressed to it ..

how about a vair ( Square LeVair ?? ) passing a Viper .... ON THE OUTSIDE
!! Through the Cirque at Mid Ohio ?? dang !!
.... a vair being the pace car at Indy ... with Donna Mae driving !! Pink
of course ... and the car pink too ....
..... Lindsay LowHand sitting in her gold plated Vair Convert , crying her
eyes out ....

Ma & Pa Kettle in their 66 Turbo convert ( ok, 4 door convert ! ) , in a
summer snowstorm at Vail Colorado, making a demon day's run from Denver to
St. George... headed for a sinful Weekend At Vegas, no doubt .... he in a
spiffy checkered suit, she in a very large & Flowery sun bonnet ....

more, much more ... such a target rich environment ....
