Bob - my mother pulled such a stunt once.

She learned to drive at age 35 after being told she never would (spine/leg
birth defect). Three years later, while behind the wheel of a '74 Pontiac
Grand Ville with a 454/TH400, some kid in a Camaro pulled alongside her on
US 40 and romped it once or twice. She got ornery and just floored it ...
dusted him but good.

She almost peed the seat when she looked down and saw she was doing better
than 110 mph.
