<VV> parts cleaner rethoughts

i was just at an electrical (starters , alternators etc ) shop, he has 2  
regular water filters on his "safety klean type" parts washer. the blue large 
 type you see in all the hardware stores for water. you can buy several 
different  types of filters to fit the housings.  not sure if it would stand MY 
 solvents , but he has done it for years with no troubles.
