In other News - The newest issue (September 2010) of Car & Driver has a
letter to the editor from Bob Nichols, a Corsa member from the Los Angeles
area. It addresses some of the problems GM has getting a car to market that is
profitable - and getting people to buy it. He uses the early Corvair as an
example of mis-directed cost-cutting. The issue also has a good article on
alternative fuels, with good analysis on the "good news-bad news" aspect
of each one. Did you know the United States uses 400 million gallons of
gasoline every DAY. Don't hold your breath on replacing much of that anytime
soon.
