Three times I've bought vairs that hadn't been driven in who knows how many 
years... at least 7 or so at the minimum... put spark plugs in them at the 
sellers house and drove them home...  and continued driving them daily while 
I made improvements and repairs.  Sure there is a lot of luck involved, but 
I think it says something about these cars.
