Since there is a "twang" sound, it appears to me the thing is cable related. Now, knowing that there is a threaded rod on the trans end of this cable, it pears to me it must be catching on something, holding for awhile, then releasing. Take a look at the end of this thing and see of there is some way it could hang up. Lew
