To Whom it May Concern:

We showed our 1962 Corvair Monza Spyder and 1967 Triumph Bonneville this
past weekend with the AACA in Homestead, Florida. We received First
Place Junior in both categories and will take the car and motor cycle to
Charlotte, North Carolina, in April, 2010, to try for the First Place
Senior award or what is referred to as the First Place National.

One problem with the car is that the wheel covers are incorrect.
According to the Complete Corvair book and other literature that I have,
the wheel covers are supposed to be a spoke wire wheel cover with a two
point simulated knock off hub. Clark's Corvair has the reproduction
knock off hubs but does not have any spoke wire wheel covers.

Please put the word out that I am desperate to purchase the correct
wheel covers before we have to leave for the April, 2010, show. With the
AACA, a little detail like the incorrect wheel covers combined with any
other defects that the judges may find wrong could knock us out of first
place. Since we know what the judges found wrong with the car at that
show, we now only have a few weeks to correct before the next show.
Hence my desperate situation. If we get the first place in April, 2010,
we will probably take the car to the AACA Grand National Show, dual
meet, in May, 2010 which is also in North Carolina. Since we live in
South Florida, this is a lot of traveling for the strutting wrights that
we get along with the trophy.

Time is very important, so I hope that you can help me out. I am a Corsa
member and I have already contacted our local club president. Clark's
has also put me on the notify list if they get any wheel covers in, but
I am looking at four weeks before I leave for North Carolina so unless I
get real lucky with them, my only other hope is to reach out to the
membership of Corsa.

Sincerely yours,

Stephen W. Barto, Sr.
