<VV> Oil spritzing onto top cover - symptom of ... ?

Yes, good memory - it's been sitting while I worked on my other cars (lost a
couple of grand paying for some mechanics summer home, without getting the
car fixed - a Ford that has served more as an 'academic exercise learning
OBD than anything else) and the Vair unfortunately languished.

I did replace the carbs, and wiring on the starter - remember this ?

and this :

The starter is still a 'sometime thing' - lose wire somewhere ...

It was VERY rattle-y when first I fired her up, and got a little smoother
after a bit, when I noticed the raindrops and put her away for the night ...

But at least it's running, but what should I do to loosen the rings ? I had
put some WD-40 in the spark plug holes a while back to soak in while she
"languished" ...

I'll check the dipstick in the AM...

Any other suggestions so I don't break something else ?

Thanks again,
Charlie
