Intermittant Corvair Just a thought. I had a somewhat similar problem. Changed everything, then finally replaced the under hood wiring harness. The idea was the resistance wire in the harness was overheating. So far so good. When it cuts out, try running a jumper wire from the battery to the positive side of the coil. Gary Swiatowy
