I'll bet your conversion will go better than the 3-speed to 4-speed change done 
on our '64. The guy who did the work retained much of the shifting mechanism 
from the 3, and it took a while to get it working right with the 4. 


Powerglide has some advantages, of course, but is b-o-r-ing to drive. Is that 
why you're going to a 4-speed?

Careful what you wish for Tom -- I'm starting a PG to 4-speed swap into 
a 61, and although I have done several of these over the years, I am 
remembering that I don't remember everything that I did to do it, so I 
'might' have to ask about the clutch cable routing ...  Yes, I have the 
correct pedal assembly.  I think I am still missing a pulley or two.
