a drill? would take forever and wear speedo parts including cable going wrong way too fast too long.. the correct way takes a couple minutes after dash is out , and does no damage. regards, tim colson retired from large GM radio/speedometer,cruise control,wiper motor warranty repair center in 1977 but i dont do it anymore
