BRIAN: I hope Corvair guys all over will make plans for and attend your Corvair Olympics event. I understand how important those registrations are for planning any event.

At the same time I would like to remind everyone to register for and attend the Detroit Area Corvair Club Homecoming! Visit us and register 'on line' at www.detroitcorvairs.com Every year this show has been growing. Early birds will show up late at the Comfort Inn Clocktower late on Wednesday August 24th. Visit the Corvair Museum and the evening car show in Ypsilanti on Thursday; Friday tour the GM Heritage Museum [different displays than ever before] and enjoy the evening BBQ at the Comfort Inn. The car show is Saturday along with a tour, evening pizza party and a 'Drive In Movie featuring 'CARS II.' Wrap up and farewell on Sunday August 28th.

Along with everything else there will be our great and ongoing swap and sell meet and our well known Hospitality room, well supplied with food.

Easy access in southeastern Michigan along I-275 in the City of Plymouth MI.

> Two things recently struck me. Every evening the national news has a story about the ever increasing price of gas. It’s nudging four dollars a gallon across the country. When I look at the very, very small number of registrations for the Corvair Olympics; I wonder if there is a connection.
> The time to seriously review the NECC position regarding the event is fast approaching. Yes, I know Corvair people are notoriously last minute but proceeding with the event with the small number registered so far would be financially disastrous. It would be a near fatal blow. We have made deposits for the venues but loss of this money would be less harmful than the harm if we become liable for the full rental fees.
> If you are planning to attend the Corvair Olympics, I urge you to register now. We need to make decisions. I cannot stress how important this information is to us.
