<VV> That NAPA calendar

Today I took possession of one of those NAPA calendars (eat your heart out) complete with a grease smudge to prove that I got it from an honest to goodness Jobber. There is, indeed, only one Corvair but it graces the cover and then the same photo of it appears for June. It's a stock-appearing convertible '66 Corsa 180 (if the front license plate is to be believed). The interior is white. I can't tell if the body color is Aztec Bronze or Madeira Maroon. The car has simulated mag-style wheel covers. There is a CORSA sticker in the windshield. The caption says the car belongs to Diane & Jerry Thomas. My Jan. 2009 Corsa membership roster lists a Diane Thomas in Greenwich, NY. This would make sense since of the 9 cars in the calendar where a license plate is visible, 7 bear NY tags. However, New York state requires license plates on the front as well as the rear of registered vehicles and this Corvair has the afore-mentioned "Corsa Turbo-Charged 180 HP" license plate on the front. Maybe the NY plate was removed for the photo shoot much like those myopics who doff their spectacles before having their picture taken. Anyway, it appears to be a very nice Corvair and it's a nice calendar but I wouldn't sweat it if you don't get your hands on one.
