Subject: Re: <VV> Funky idle question

I'm running my Pertronix II with a std 12 volt coil on my 62. I
removed the resister wire from the circuit, so the Pertronix and coil
get a full 12 volts. Ever since taking the resister wire out of the
circuit, its worked great. As a FYI, not to be superstitious, but I
had two Flamethrower coils on the car and both failed. Pertronix
wouldn't talk to me after the second, not a good recommendation for
their service, so to get the car going I bought a generic 12 volter at
my local FLAPS. Hasn't missed a beat since (in two years).
