<VV> Rear Antenna

I have a rear mount antenna that I removed from a LM convertible and 
would like to install on a LM 2-dr hardtop.  My question is this:  How 
to I route the cable forward from the right rear quarter panel?  I 
assume I need to cut a hold somewhere  but not sure where or how.  I 
think I know how to route the cable once I get it forward far enough to 
place under the carpet.

I will appreciate any insight into how to do all this.
