In general on most v-8 engines the choke pull off is mounted on the
carburetor. Just Google "choke pull off" and there are images of carbs
and pull offs.

Note 1, a Corvair (Standard Ignition p/n CPA22) pull off should pull a
full vacuum, no bleed hole. i.e.you can suck on the hose, the plunger
will pull in, cover the hose with your tongue and the plunger will
remain in for a loooong time. Some other engines use choke pull offs
with calibrated bleed holes, so the suck/tongue test is not correct.
But, the plunger should still pull in with vacuum, just not stay in.

Note 2, on a four barrel carburetor look for the choke pull off
connected to the primary chokes. The object connected to the secondary
chokes (if there) controls when the secondaries come on more than it act
like a choke pull off.
