 Ray,
I never did that restoration, but I know you will probably have to remove the
entire vent window assembly in order to separate the seal from the metal frame.
This will definitely require the interior door panels and the handles to be
removed too. You'll probably destroy the paper water barrier inside the door to
do this. carefully note the position of the hardware that holds the vent assy in
position, so you can duplicate it at re installation.

Warning. if you never worked inside the doors, the sheet metal openings are
SHARP. I'd suggest you wrap some tape around the edges to prevent cuts.

Subject: <VV> late model vent window rubber installation?

Has anyone here ever installed new vent window seals on a late model car? I
think I'm going to be doing mine pretty soon and was hoping to benefit from
someone elses experience. How difficult is it?, any tips to help me get it
done?

I'm currently installing fatmat in the car but I think I have to take the doors
apart to do this job correct? If that is the case I need to leave the fatmat
off the doors until after I do the seals.

Thanks
