<VV> Resistor Wire Question

I'm not certain my response will be correct, but having explored that
very issue while trying to resolve running problems with my '66 Monza, I
found that very wire.

If you peel back the tape in the wiring harness, especially around the
engine plug and starter plug, you'll see a white/beige braided wire. It
will run back towards the engine motor mount, and then loop back towards
the front of the car. That's the resistor wire. You're quite right - it
never connects directly to the coil but it does control the voltage
going to the coil through the yellow wire.

I, too, wondered if I had one until I traced it inside the wiring
harness. I'm sure you'll find one in your car's wiring.
