<VV> oil pan gasket?

Hey Jeff,

How thick are you putting that on?  And, if thick, how do you know it is not 
squeezing out toward the inside of the block where a bit of it could 
potentially break off and plug an oil galley or two?

I haven't used oil pan or valve cover gaskets since the late 60's. Just RTV.
Greatest invention since the wheel. Can't remember ever having a problem.
The key is having both surfaces clean primarily of oil and letting it set 
before
filling with oil or running the motor. I usually wait 24 hours but overnight
should be enough. Also great for trans and diff covers or any non gas or 
high
pressure seal.
