<VV> welding up drilled spot welds

My first advice is 20-20 hindsight . . . only drill thru the spot welds on one panel. But too late for that advice on this project. Find a chunk of copper to back up the hole . . . the weld should not stick to the copper. Just picked up a copper paddle at Harbor Freight for that purpose, only cost a few bucks. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but should work fine.

Another hint is to spiral in from the outside of the hole using short bursts of weld (not sure how messy that would be with the flux core, never used it)

Good to see you taking on a major challenge. You will feel great when it is finished and you can say you did it yourself.
